This program will explore legislation, technological tools, and social interventions that the United States uses to effectively combat digital sex crimes. Participants will discuss practical skills and best practices for increasing public awareness of such crimes and for promoting greater respect for victims’ rights, including the prevention of widespread distribution of non-consensual pornography and online sexual abuse that are enabled by digital technology. Participants will also learn how offenders in the United States are prosecuted.
