About the Event
Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, the International Day of Peace represents a globally shared day for all humanity to commit to building a culture of peace in communities around the world. This year, the VCWA is excited to mark the International Day of Peace with a full day of programming focusing on this important topic. This all day event will feature interactive sessions around international peace, including panel discussions, book talks, and workshops. The day will culminate with an evening reception featuring a keynote address and an award ceremony recognizing vital work in the field of peace-building.
