This project examines how federal, state, and local government officials, law enforcement agency leaders, counterterrorism specialists, and industry experts prevent terrorist attacks targeting public spaces such as airports, train stations, entertainment venues, and other public gathering places. Meetings, site visits, and activities will illustrate how American experts conduct risk assessments, collaborate with security industry leaders, and use public outreach and communication as a force multiplier.
