Virtually Connect with Youth Ambassadors from Central America!
The Vermont Council on World Affairs is currently recruiting Spanish-speaking Vermonters interested in virtually connecting with youth leaders (high school students ages 15-18 years old) from Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, and Venezuela through the U.S. Department of State's Central America Youth Ambassadors (CAYA) cultural exchange program taking place on Fridays, 6:00-8:00pm ET from September 24th - October 22nd 2021 via Zoom meeting.
If you live in Vermont, speak Spanish, and enjoy sharing about culture, food, music and more, please fill out this brief interest form expressing your interest in joining our virtual host community. The VCWA will arrange host community sessions over Zoom featuring interactive activities, cultural discussion prompts, and guest speakers designed to promote greater understanding, respect, and collaboration between the United States and our Central American counterparts. This opportunity is open to all Spanish-speaking Vermonters but high school students are strongly encouraged to apply.
More information will be provided shortly after you complete this form. Please contact our Exchange Program Manager, Ben Bosland, at ben@vcwa.org or (802) 370-3052 if you have any questions.
