HistoryThe Vermont Council on World Affairs (VCWA) was founded in 1952 by U.S. Senator Warren R. Austin and a group of other distinguished Vermonters. For more than half a century and through a changing world, the VCWA has worked to promote awareness and understanding of world affairs among Vermonters through educational programs, presentations, and hosting delegates from around the world through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, the Community Connections program of USAID, and the Open World Program of the Library of Congress.
VCWA is a proud member of: World Affairs Councils of America National Council for International Visitors Vermont International Nonprofit Network
